Julius Caesar
in
the Roman Forum

The Miracle Players are proud to have been selected by the Italian Ministry of Culture (Ministero dei Beni Culturali) to do three special performances (June 27-29, 2000) for the festival "Archeology Rome 2000".

These performances were right in front of the Curia (Senate House) in the Roman Forum. According to popular belief, the Curia is where Julius Caesar was actually stabbed. However, the Curia was not completed when Caesar was assassinated. BUT if it was good enough for Shakespeare, it's good enough for us!

The public sat on the steps where the Senators walked, in front of the Lapis Niger, the legendary tomb of Romulus the founder of Rome, and watched our version of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar.

We'd like to thank all those who stepped back 2000 years and joined us in the heart of the ancient city center.
